first experience 1985

My first visit to SF was in 1985 and I loved every minute of it. I had a great time in Moby Dick's

relaxed gayborhood vibe

set on a busy street corner right below castro, this friendly bar features huge exotic fish tank over the bar, and busy pool table in the back. gets a little crowded on weekends, and the drinks are not generally great, but this is always a wonderful place to hang with friends and meet some new ones. love it when the party spills out onto the sidewalk on warm summer evenings

Friendly neighborhood bar

Whether you are here to play pool or pinball or just to socialize with friends, or make new friends, this is a great place to stop. The clientele is friendly and fun to chat up.

Friendly, Great Place

Moby has a chill scene w/ a pool table, beat-filled music, and a bunch of friendly guys. It's normally pretty full, but never difficult to get a drink. I think it's a little nicer than Pilsner or Mix (though I recommend them all). Good place to start, end, or spend an entire evening.

Very very nice place

I just visited SF from Mexico, and stop here for a drink and stayed until close. It's great, good music, nice ambiance and great attention. Good to listen good music while having a chat with friends.
