My very favorite restaurant in San Francisco

Love the Mediterranean food and the nooks and crannies atmosphere. Inside it feels something like a pueblo in the upstairs part-- designed for people watching and to let in light and air. But, the food is the star. I have been going there for all of its 30 years. Try the raw oysters, the Caesar salad or their great hamburgers. Wonderful bar. You will love their upscale atmosphere (yes, very yuppie-- but most agreeably so :-) About $50 per person. You can easily stroll here from the Castro.
